Reconstructive Surgery with lipofilling

Fondazione Poliambulanza’s Breast Surgical Team, performing on average 800 operations a year, has recently undergone further development and today it successfully uses autologous fat transplantation for breast reconstruction after tumor resection. The procedure consists in the removal of adipose tissue from thighs and abdomen, for example, to have it transplanted in other body districts, in order to adjust possible asymmetries following the surgery. At the same time, lipofilling can be a proper solution for women having small breast.
