Digestive Endoscopy

Fondazione Poliambulanza’s Digestive Endoscopy Operative Unit is a centre of excellence in the following fields:

• Computed virtual chromoendoscopy or conventional one and other high technology devices for diagnosis and treatment of precancerous conditions and lesions in the stomach;
• Video Capsule Endoscopy (VCE) for studying small intestine;
• Echo-endoscopy ultrasound eco-guided biopsy of pancreatic metastases’ diagnosis and identification.

Fondazione Poliambulanza’s Digestive Endoscopy Operative Unit gastrointestinal precancerous lesions are treated also when being large-size using advanced techniques, such as endoscopic mucosectomy, endoscopic submucosal dissection or, as for the esophagus, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) with the HALO System procedure.
