Dr.ssa Gerardi Viviana

La dott.ssa Viviana Gerardi è nata a Copertino (LE) il 18/03/1984. 
Ha conseguito la Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia nel 2011 presso l’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Roma e si è specializzata in Gastroenterologia nel 2018 presso la medesima sede. Nel corso della Scuola di Specializzazione ha improntato la sua formazione nel settore della Gastroenterologia e dell’Endoscopia Digestiva. 

Specialista nella gestione di patologie dell’apparato digerente (malattie infiammatorie croniche intestinali, sindrome dell’intestino irritabile, coliti microscopiche, gastroenterite eosinofila, malattia celiaca, malattia da reflusso gastroesofageo, etc), tumori del tratto gastrointestinale, GUT microbiota, breath tests. 
Ha svolto più di 10.000 procedure endoscopiche diagnostiche ed operative (in elezione ed in urgenza) dell’apparato digerente superiore (esofagogastroduodenoscopia - EGDS), inferiore (rettosigmoidocolonscopia - RSCS), polipectomie e mucosectomie (EMR).
Ha partecipato a numerosi trial clinici di fase 2 e 3 in qualità di sub-investigator e ha condotto studi di ricerca in vivo ed ex vivo su modelli murini di colite cronica e cancro del colon retto.  Vincitrice di Premio Toniolo (2011). Premio Toniolo per ricerca su modelli murini di cancro del colon- retto.
